Friday

A long day at the office was cut short when Matt said, "Rose, why don't you go home early. I really appreciate you coming in with the way you're feeling." It was such a nice compliment.
I went home to find Boscoe ready for some sunshine. We went out to the backyard where he plopped down in the sun and found his bone. It is a Kodak moment...the epitome of Happiness.

Spoiled

Xan came over and brought me strawberry ice cream, fruit punch and lemonade. Yummy! Who said aliquid diet is no fun? LOL. We had some bonding time talking about life in general and finished off the evening watching a movie based off of Louisa Mae Alcott's book: The Inheritance. Movie's don't always have to have tragic endings and the heroine does win in theend sometimes. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. I know it is now one of my favorites! (Has anyone ever read the book?)

Stray dogs

I woke with a startle aroung 11:00 p.m. (Boscoe rarely barks but when he does, you're awake and alert) I got out of bed and threw on my robe. There he was standing guard and grumbling through the door window. I didn't see anyone out there so I sat on the sofa in the dark for a little while to see if he'd bark so I could catch someone out there but I fell asleep and went back to bed. That trusty guard dog would not come back to bed even if I begged him too. Around Midnight, he barked again. Kinda mean and scarey sounding so I jumped up and ran t the front door to see 4 puppies digging in the neighborbs trash accrossed the street from us. They were seriously cute but still ruining me rest. Animal Control probaly isn't 24 hours here and I didn't want to roam the streets trying to catch dogs so I said a little prayer and slept until 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning :)

Big Head

Who said my head couldn't get any bigger? Complications stopped the 2nd wisdom tooth removal. I know I have to get the other yanked out but I hope to take morphine before hand. (Just kidding...sort of...) All in all I suppose I can say it went well. Some little birdies told me they had immediate relief and went on with their day witout any hiccups. I got nausea, forgot the pin number to my debit card when I went to pick up my meds, and hung up the phone mid-convo while talking to Josh on the phone. (All BEFORE being hopped up on narcotics.) I'm truly in bed now wishing I was at church snarfing a delicious fruit pizza in a serene atmosphere...but just bet your bottom dollar in 72 hours, I'll make one all for myself to enjoy!

Butterfly Close-Up

Sleep this early?

I shoulda known I was lying :) I almost forgot about the booklets I need to drop off at Carrie's. Check them out, I needed to staple the corners and wanted to tie bows (I LOVE BOWS!) However, bows on 50 books would not be good time maagement for one...so I figured I could recycle the "flutterbys" I had upstairs and stapled "bodies" to hold the pages together. I was proud of the outcome...I hope you can use the idea to "butterfly" something fun in your life!

Dentist visit tomorrow...OUCH!

Bad news bears! I have always been terrified of doctors. Any doctor except for the optometrist. (I think that anyone that medically prescribes a fashion accesory could become a dear friend of mine.) At any rate, I have a wisdom tooth that rears its ugly painful head once a year and it has done so every year since I was 20. I have always been able to ride out the pain. Yesterday it seemed to test my threshold. Today it rendered me helpless and Monica scoped out a dentist for me. I told the scheduler my symptoms and she said I need to get in ASAP but she didn't have an appointment untill tomorrow at 1:30. I won't lie...I'm scared. I only pray it will finally stop hurting! Off to bed for me. Goodnight!

Funny Memory

I just turned 16 & got a 1985 Candy Apple Red 190E Mercedes Benz. To celebrate, I was at Tyson Satterfield & Matt Mangold's house in Winfield w/ Alex Johnstone eating dinner. (Does anyone remember that green 2 story house because age has already erased it from my memory.) Anyhow...so we ate asian lettuce wraps and the gang was dressed up in hawaiin print shirts and karate kid bandanas tied around their foreheads. (SO FUNNY!) The next thing you know, it was time to go home. I'm not sure when, who or how they got downstairs without my noticing but they did! I got in the car, turned on my the engine and blaring on my the radio was Janis Joplin singing "Oh lord won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz..." Someone snuck down to put the cassette n the player & turned the volume full blast. The end was a recording of a happy birthday message from my favorite 1998 trio. It might not have been a
traditional sweet 16 birthday party but it was definitely sweet! What did you do for your 16th birthday?

Test

On my drive to work this morning, I was thinking about how cool a pocket pc phone is. I wrote about it on my facebook status and researched further into mobile blogging since it has been fritzy... I was able to sign up for mobile blogging versus logging in via internet explorer! Here is the test...if you are reading this than we were successful and all blogging systems are a go...NASA, do you copy?

My favoritest niece...Morgan...

For my favorite neice...Well...The Mexican One Anyway...

A few weeks ago when I was in Ohio, I got to spend quality time with Carl's family. It was a hoot! I think my favorite Morgan story of the year, goes a little something like this:

Spend all day hanging out and being tech-y with Morgan (Previously mentioned, super cool, Caucasian niece.) Playing on my cell phone; showing her how to look up shows on Youtube and text messaging Grandma. (She even started texting my sister!)

After it was time to hit the hay for the hipster, Carl and I went down the street to spend some time with his other sister and her family. Morgan's mom was at work the entire time we spent at her house so she came over to visit for a little while.

And I quote, from Lindsay,"As soon as I got home, Morgan said,'Mom! Rosie is my favoritest aunt in the whole entire world.'...puts finger to chin...'Well, the Mexican one anyway.'"

LOL...WHAT A FUNNY STORY!

So, now that I have jotted down that memory, I wanted to show my "thrift store revival". My SIL, Kim, is very creative and always has the most awesome TSRs! I haven't actually sewn anything since the boxers and bookcase bag (Who DIDN'T make these?) but I have revamped a Halloween costume. This is my second attempt at taking something so-so into something so-fab! (Well, in this case, something down right ugly. I was sort of afraid of the hot pink on black...)

Lindsay and MJ

So they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery....

I just have to tell Lindsay and MJ that I LOVE their HAIR. That's right...I said it. The waving, crinkly, pretty hair on their head! (OK...so now that I sound like a super-stalker...) It doesn't look as good on my head but it's Friday and I felt like taking a picture of myself...

Photobucket

Happy Friday to you and I hope you guys have pretty hair this weekend

Keeping busy

How I love baby Showers!

Photobucket

Welcoming babies with a good 'ol fashion fun shower is the best! Last Saturday we hosted a ton of fun with Winnie the Pooh and Friends!

Photobucket
(Amy is so laid back, the only instruction I had was she wanted a chocolate cake...LOL)

Here is a little slideshow of the very big fun we had! Enjoy!

The other big news we have is that Carl will be going to Ohio to work for a few months (Like 6-8 months.) I am planning on sticking around the home front with Kim and Boscoe. And RLM of course. It will be a lot of traveling back and forth from here to there but it gives us a reason to see my ultra cute niece and nephews (And uber cute in-laws!)

We'll keep you posted...lots of lugs! (<-- I was thinking love and hugs....LOL. I've lost my marbles!)
