Whoa...we party like it's 1999!

We have been very very busy! (We have my sister's laptop working in full force!) Check it out...

***************************************************************

Photobucket

This is the "work bench" we set up for Carl. He hasn't put all of his tools up yet so the peg board looks really bare but he was so excited so I wanted to share it!

******************************************************

Carl got a chance to clean up the front yard and the flower beds in front of the house. He's so good at it!

Photobucket

*******************************************************

Here are the bathroom pictures I have been promising for AGES.

*Before*
(So this is actually a picture of a bathroom similar to mine, we forgot to take before pictures! However, our bathroom had one long giant mirror and it was ALL white, a lot like this one.)

Photobucket

*After*

Photobucket

See the Crown Moulding? (I really need to take a class on picture taking. Anyone giving free lessons?)

Photobucket

I think this is really creative. This was all Carl's idea! He changed the light fixtures and added 2 mirrors! I contributed with the display items and switched out the light switch covers.

Photobucket

Here is a close up of the decorative shelf (From Hobby Lobby for $15 bucks!), sorry it's a little yellow...

*********************************************************

Carl's dad came to visit so they started it off right by going to see the Houston Astros Vs. Celveland Indians:

Photobucket

Photobucket

We then took off to Kemah Boardwalk for a ton of fun! (FYI: If you've never thought of visiting us...you need to plan a trip!)

#15. Plan a surprise birthday party for a friend.

It's been awhile that my attentions have been turned to my 101 in 1001! I'm happy to report that I was not only able to cross off #15 but also have a memorable birthday for our dear friend Josh. (I know you don't read this but in the event you are reading it...WE LOVE YOU JOSH!!!) Doesn't he look totally surprised?!

Photobucket

A little Background... Josh served his church mission in Fiji. I didn't take a lot of pictures but the house was decorated in tiki Luau and we even hung up Fijian words on the curtains in the kitchen! (Thanks MJ, Denella and Lori!) I hope to post more pictures when I collect them from other attendees! The Cake - It's supposed to be a little piece of Fiji...

Photobucket

**********************************************************
And last but not least, for those who didn't know who Lebron James is, he is #23 for the Cleveland Cavaliers (Carl's from Ohio originally) and his Aunt Carol delivered Lebron James' son)...LOL... (He loves that story). Anyhow... He found Lebron James Nike Basketball shoes at Ross for a steller deal. I figured since he wore them around the house until he went to bed, I should blog about it.

Thanks for visiting our little corner of the world wide web! SOrry for the long post, it's been buildin gup for a very long time! Have a fab weekend!

How I love Free....

Let me count the ways!

Actually, you can count the ways too. I have been talking with a lot of people interested in Free and couponing so I posted a link to the Budget On A Dollar over there to the top right for easy access. Again, it's easier to hyperlink stuff in those neck of the woods so check there for some blazin', amazin' samples.

Carl just got a really great smelling Old Spice body wash from Wal-Mart the other day.

P.S. The Laptop died at home so my blogs are sproadic during lunch breaks at work. I had to get a new USB air card from Verizon so it would fit in my sister's computer BUT I got the upgrade for free! A $300 unit for free is my kind of deal! I suppose it pays to be a VZW VP. Pictures of the house to come soon. I think Kim is fixing the internet and computer business at home today.

Switching over to save my sanity. LOL.

I have tried to keep up with saving money tips and posts on both the "Budget on a Dollar Website/blog" and Blogspot blog but it's a lot of double posting.
I have found that blogging on weebly is much easier to add all the many hyperlinks that create printable LINKs. If you are following Ketchup! for coupons and shopping lists, please visit Keep it Cheap/Coupons. that will take you to the web-page from my Budget on a Dollar class.

Until then, that is all my friends! Pictures of the bathroom renovation and office/craft room/play room is up next!

For Amanda

....and all the other sistas and brothas tryin to save a dolla... It's not early, so I don't find that line nearly as amusing as I might of if I had came up with it in the early a.m.... oh well!

I LOVE THESE!

buddies soap Pictures, Images and Photos
I got them at Wal-Mart for $0.97 a piece which gave me $0.03 in overage. I know that 3 cents doesn’t seem like much but I got 16 bars and $0.48 cents towards the rest of my purchase! Visit this link
to print your own coupons!

And this one is WAY too good, not to share! My new favorite link to get the coupons we love on the products that are sometimes too expensive to buy regular price! LOL. There are also MORE Buddies coupons here.

This mommy is saving me loads! Her most recent post is below.

I used this as my Wal-Mart grocery list. (A lot of the coupons that are referenced in the blog can be found in the Sunday/Saturday's "Early Sunday Edition" paper or here. The paper in Houston has 3 "inserts": Redplum, Unilever and SmartSource. Each "source" generally have a legal sized ad folded over single page ads/coupons. Let me know if I need to clarify via comments.)

Find any other great deals at Wal-Mart this week?

Please Note: Wal-Mart prices vary somewhat by region and store so not all of the prices listed below will necessarily be what your local Wal-Mart prices will be. Also, many of you have written to say that your Wal-Mart is refusing to accept printable coupons. According to Wal-Mart corporate coupon policy, this is incorrect. I'd advise you to keep a copy of Wal-Mart's coupon policy handy with you when you shop.

If politely showing that to the cashier or manager does not result in Wal-Mart accepting your printable coupons, I'd encourage you to put in a call to Wal-Mart corporate and kindly ask them to inform your store of their coupon policy on printable coupons. In almost every case, this will remedy the situation.

Crown Moulding

We've been playing with the re-design of our masterbath...

Most of the house has crown moulding but it didn't seem awfully important in the masterbath to the previous builder/owner so we decided it couldn't be TOO difficult...

3 days, a miter saw and 40 feet of trim later...

*Ring*Ring*Ring*
Rose: Hello.
Carl: I got the crown moulding up, 'cause you married a genius.

Aren't we funny? LOL...

Pictures to come!
