Holy Blog-tastical, I haven't been posting Batman!!

So.

It's been a while.

Carl and I went to Kansas for my sister Kim's graduation! It was an adventurous time. We did a hearty amount of stuff...mainly my mother fed us. It was great! Take a little trip with me...

Left at 8:30 in the morning Friday morning. Drove and Drove. Drove and Drove. And did I mention we drove? About 700 miles! We then went to pick up my little sister Anna. We went to Tho Cau to eat Pho. Yummy! Ranee and Kim joined us while dad and Carl watched the basketball game. Cleveland and Boston or something. We were all pretty tuckered out by the end of the night so off to bed we went!

Saturday morning we got up, late might I add, and went to Mulvane Middle School football field to watch the Graduation ceremony. It was unbearably hot, but it was really fantastic. I remember when I graduated, looking back I think it is more special to me now than when I actually graduated. I was just mad because it started to pour down rain and had a tornado warning in 2001!

The girls wore white and the boys wore green. I wish I had more pictures of just my beautiful sister but they are on a CD at home so I will post some later. Carl and I went to my mom's house and she was throwing Kim a graduation party so Carl and I went. Mom made Banh Xeo, Crab Rangoon, Spring Rolls with Sweet Fish Chili Sauce, Seen Daht, homemade sausage, beef jerky and many many other delecacies! We ate ALL DAY! Then met Dad, Anna and Apbun at the River Festival to walk the Arkansas River and stare at people. We walked down to the Carnival and played games and rode rides.

Sunday was a fun day! It started out with Carl and Dad kayaking 6 miles of the Arkansas River, pictures of that to come while Anna and I hung out playing games. Old Maid, Match, Uno and doing puzzles.

After that we went to the Indian Cultural Center to check out the festivities and ate Buffalo Burgers, Indian Tacos and Funnel Cakes. Anna and I went home and played more Games while Dad and Carl went to the Wat Laos Wichitaram Temple to run some electrical something or anothers. We went to bed and woke up to start our long journey home Monday morning.

All in all, it was a really fun trip. I am sure I will think of something else t write about but til then...ciao bella!

Johnny is far from my little secret!

The epitome of "hair diva" Johnny is my favorite hair dresser of all time. I have never really watched Sex In The City, but one of my friends told me that one of the main characters has a "hair guy" and she was SO EXCITED because "I, like, totally have a hair guy.." HA! Anyhow...Johnny makes me look good and when he was done I said "I love being me." and he said "I love being me, making you, love being you." Me and Johnny have good times. Yeah.

Little Willy Willy can't come home

Interesting...I have been meaning to put a new picture of my brother up...Meet William Rithedhest Sengmany.

Photobucket

Once upon a time there was a little boy named William. His dad has always been a firm believer that children should not be spoiled. So William and Dad drove from Kansas to Las Vegas to Los Angeles and then William boarded a plane and went to Thailand alone for 3 months to stay with family. His dad said that it's good for children to be away from their moms and dads to help keep them from being too dependent. The End.

That's a true story. I think my brother will come back a stronger little man in a few months...I told you my family is weird.

Mental Break

This morning has been CRAZY!!!! With a capital K...it's been that nuts! So I took a mental break and created a Meez. I happen to think I hit the nail on the head with this one...whatdya think?

Caffeine

Since giving up caffeine, its been a struggle to deal with Iced Tea. I have always loved it so very much and I can't lie, I've missed it tremendously. I found an herbal iced tea mix at Big Lots last year but "at those close out prices, they don't last long!" I just wanted to share with everyone something I found at the grocery store....AN HERBAL ICED TEA!!!!

Yum-ti-dum-yum-yum! Now I REALLY can't wait for summer!!! Iced Herbal Tea with lots of ice and a mini umbrella. Feet up, sun shining down. YAY!

Open for discussion:

After spending lots of time with the great debate of No Show Fees for Dr.'s offices (and there is lots to say about it!) I decided to open it up for those whom I take great consideration of their opinions, that's you guys.... Here is a little ditty of what I am sending out to patients not showing up at my office:

Dear _____,

It has been noted in your chart that you have been unable to keep several scheduled appointments with our office. We ask you to show consideration by calling 24 hours in advance if you are unable to keep an appointment. We would like to have the option to offer that appointment to another patient who needs to see the doctor. Please let this letter serve to notify you that if you fail to give us a 24 hour notice of cancellation in the future, there will be a $25.00 cancellation fee billed to your account that cannot be filed to your insurance.

We are concerned that you may not be receiving proper medical care because of these missed appointments. Please call if you are still experiencing problems. We value you as a patient.

Sincerely,

Rose Brauning
Office Manager

Most patients are pretty irate when they are told of a no show fee but I feel that those who don't abuse the system, have no problems with the system. I am also always willing to take things on a case by case baisis but you guys tell me if y'all think I'm a heartless creedant :)

The house....

We a have closed on the house...It's so beautiful! I am nervous and excited all at the same time! 2,711 sq ft, 4 bdrms, 2.75 bath, formal dining, formal living, 2nd living room and office upstairs. Ahhhhh, it's refreshing and scary all at the same time to have a place to call home that is yours :)

It's in a subarb of Houston. Spring, Texas to be exact. More pictures to come.

A favorite video at our house

Tucano's

If you would have seen this after the meal Carl, Sue and I had....you probably couldn't have handled it! We didn't think we could with it being the size of the plate...which was about 12 inches long! We did pretty good though, here's to the cake!

end

That is all we ate. I took pictures of last weekends dessert JUST IN CASE I started blogging. Ha!

Hello world...or those tuned in anyway!

So...Sue and I have been talking about following in Kim's footprints and starting our very own blogs because it's a great way to keep everyone updated on our lives...only thing is, my life isn't too interesting. We'll see how it goes!

I watched "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" last night with Carl. As usual, he feel fast asleep halfway through the movie and I started crying half way through the movie until the very end. Now, you may think to yourself, "Awe, that was a good movie, I shed a little tear" or "I need to see that movie" or possibly, "What movie is that?". Before we get too deep, I should probably add that even though Carl will fall asleep to every movie, I also cry at almost ANY movie. It's sad. I guess I'm overly emotional, however, it probably also explains why I rarely watch movies.
